S1 Bb clarinet in Pristine condition with no cracks or repairs to the wood. I am a professional woodwind musician and this is a spare Bb. It has been used on TV, Radio,Theatrical shows and tours. It is a free blowing instrument with a big sound,and plays exactly as you would expect an S1 to play.S1 clarinets were an R13 derivative in much the same way as the Festival is today. They are widely regarded by many as possibly the best clarinet Buffet has ever made,and only discontinued because manufacturing costs were much higher. They were made during Buffets golden era and the wood was matured for much longer than todays clarinets, so are much less prone to cracking. They play very similiar to an RC but with a much bigger sound. I have owned the clarinet for about 20 years.It is in fantastic condition with as new silver plated keywork. No splits or cracks.It has recently been overhauled and serviced with leather pads and new springs.I also own a pair of Buffet S1 clarinets which are my main instruments.It comes in an as new condition selmer case with no scuffs or damage.(You are welcome to come and inspect and blow it ).
