Pianos Rud Ibach Sohn This upright piano is in fair condition for age. Made in Barmen, Germany in 1894 or 1895 according to the serial number (27388) which is engraved on the frame at each end, and stamped on a wooden part inside. There is a Trade Mark plaque (Schutz Marke) on the lid covering the keys, and also a printed Trade Mark behind the piano wires inside. The keys all work and were re-tuned approx 10 years ago, but haven't been played since. There are two pedals. The top has a lid, the top front opens out (held with wooden clips) and the bottom front also opens out (again held with wooden pegs), both fronts are removable. I'm not sure what type of wood the piano is made of, there are quite a few wear and scratch marks in the varnish, and the music sheet 'shelf' which folds down is missing the metal bars (one missing, one broken off). The piano is on casters, but has not been moved from study since bought about 25 years ago! Measures approx 140cm x 127.5cm x 63cm. Includes a wooden piano stool with removable padded top. Collection only from Clacton, East Essex (ground floor) - piano is very heavy - will need a van and at least two strong people to move. Offers accepted - more pictures available on request £280 07761191730
